Environmental pollutant analysisWith the development of modern industry and the widespread application of industrial products, industrial chemicals have entered the environment in large quantities and are commonly found in soil, water, organisms, air and atmospheric dust, becoming ubiquitous pollutants in the environment. HPLC has been and will remain an important tool for the separation and analysis of environmental pollutants. Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PHAs) analysis: Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons are produced by organic fuels and their incomplete combustion and are harmful substances that cause cancer. Reversed phase bonded chromatography columns can be used for their separation. UV/visible detector detection, diode array detector can detect various polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons at different wavelengths, and fluorescence detectors can be used for detection at lower concentrations. Phenol and amine analysis: Phenol, alkylphenols, aromatic compounds, etc. in industrial wastewater can be separated by reversed-phase chromatography columns and detected by UV/visible detectors. Surfactant analysis: Reverse-phase ion pair chromatography and amino bonding chromatography columns can be used for the separation of surfactants. Since most surfactants lack chromophores, differential refractive index detectors, electrochemical detectors, or UV/visible detectors are used for detection after derivatization. |
